| | | The bright sunlight in 1 and 2 are a bit harsh, but that's tough to beat... the last two are really freaking nice, most especially the last one!

| | | I agree with Mr. Motts for the most part. There is a lot of shine in the first two, but I feel it helps to draw the viewer into the shot. I feel that 3 needs a little more distinction between sky and surface, OR more (color?) contrast on the surface. 4 is a little hazy and washed out. Makes me sleepy. ...gah, I keep going back to #1! It's got me entranced. Nice work.

| | | As far as "Getting Lucky", these shots are really good. I Agree with Mr Motts and Flynot. Technically the exposure on #1 could use a little tweaking, but the visual shot speaks volumes. Beautiful the way the natural light appears to pour through the opening meeting obstruction with the broken truss, the bench and finally the floor like a waterfall. Well done. Weathered wood has always been one of my favourites to shoot. In 2 the mid afternoon sun exposure shows off some nice tan on the wood giving away part of the ageing process. in 3 Man and Nature are parallelled, another great element from 4. The natural light angle, season and succession of the worked land against the abandoned building are all great ingredients. I liked the alignment of the window openings on the building. very nice. I would have used a 35mm on this one. On digital, Some extra configuration regarding the white balance and aperture to clean up the sun haze.

| | | you've done well on #3. i'd maybe have bumped the camera up an inch to get more blue sky and less foreground, and to place the "interesting" subject (the distant building) just a bit more off-center. it also works pretty well as it is.

| | | Thanks for the input everyone. More sky on #3....funny just as soon as I read that I knew what was wrong with the pic,yet until you pointed it out,I couldn't place it. These are all shots that I thought were at least decent ,but yet each had something that didn't quite work,I was just having a hard time placing it. #1 and #3 were taken with one of those plastic one time use jobs. #2 was a digital and #4 was a different digital(I had the resolution set way too low)trying to save space. stupid, stupid, stupid! I'm not all that into the technical side of it,but have been thinking more and more about upgrading my camera system. It seems as though sometimes the vibe or feeling of a place just can't be captured, the building where the first shot was taken....I was there with Rasp and he kept saying "there's a award winning shot in here,I just can't find it" and every time I have been there,it's the same..the place has a amazing feel to it that just dosn't come across in pics. please feel free to continue commenting. Thoughts and suggestions welcome.
