Is there any way into Big Brother in Calgary besides the gaping hole in the ground where the loading docks used to be? It's super easy but I'm so tired of messing up my hair climbing through the tarps and now most of them are taped shut from the inside...

Those tarps are there because of asbestos removal. I hope you're wearing a respirator. There used to be other ways in, but no more. I don't think any of us have been back there in a couple of weeks. The charm of the building has been thoroughly stripped away, leaving nothing but asbestos particles in the air.

P.S.: Who are you monty?

Not much to see there anymore - all the cool spy tunnels are torn out. The big hole was by far the best way to get in - can't think of any other ways.

You should show up to one of our weekly UE meets at the Hop 'n Brew pub on Tuesdays at 8PM. We always look forward to meeting other people in the area that are interested in exploring.

Might be doing a drain after tonight's meet - the weather is a bit dicey, so it might not go ahead. We're out exploring every week, but we don't post much online about it - prefer to meet in person.

I guess I got in just in time then-I wanted to go back and snap off a few pictures of the secret passageways and those great bathrooms. Anymouse, are you guys meeting every Tuesday or the first Tuesday of the month? K-I was at the open drain in the ancient orange volvo.

Every Tuesday. Not everyone shows up every Tuesday, but there's always someone, even if its just Fyrephreak sitting sad and lonely in the corner. ;)

Ah hey - it's you! Wondering where you went to.
That's one kickass car.

Yeah, there's always someone there on Tuesdays - and usually there's at least four or five of us. It's supposed to be 8PM, but often nobody shows up until 8:30 or so.

If the weather improves any I'm looking to do the rest of the new Boney Ed drain.

Sorry Fyremeng. I try to come every week I can but my work schedule is gooftarded. I think that's about the only time just one person has shown up. We've got a damn good record. The Pizza Princess begrudgingly accepts our presence now. ;)

Monty, good to see that some of the noobs are still interested. Do come out some time.

Just curious... I thought UEA didn't need a ue forum to discuss things in...
If that's the case, why be discussing anything on a ue forum...

Jester, are there beekeepers in your family history? Because you seem to like poking at the hive. ;)

What ?

Why is it wrong after I've heard ohhhhh about 7 million times how UEA doesn't want nor need a ue forum, to ask why you'd need to use one here ? Just professional curiousity...

More like flamebait, but that's just part of your personality. Its kind of endearing actually. Just don't get mad if someone like Skaught or Matt takes the bait. That's all.

Incidentally those of us who do visit UER do it mostly to keep tabs on new explorers. We don't actually organize or discuss anything important here. That's why we go to the pub every week, which anyone is welcome to attend.

Actually more like "hypocrite bait".

It's just reminiscent of so many people I've seen pass through the forum yelling "I'm never coming back here F U jerks!!!!1" and then a few days later they come back...

So it had me thinking, why use something you don't need ? unless there really is a need, and there appears to be, such as you stated now...

Incidentally those of us who do visit UER do it mostly to keep tabs on new explorers.

So the ue forum is needed by some of uea at least. Guess I was misinformed previously.

Need is a strong word. I still think your deep down motivation is to get a rise out of certain people, which is fine.

No, it's actually quite nice to not see certain people posting... much.

It's just the sense of irony with all things UEA & forum related that tickles my funny bone.
