| | | I'm just curious to as of whether or not there are any ulisted or recently-vacant buildings, or abandonments in or near Mesa, and/or parts of Phoenix. Any response is appreciated.

| | | If you are up for a road trip here are some instructions:
otherwise there are a few people in your area. Just use the "User Srch" feature in the side panel on your left. It allows you to search for people in your area.

| | | Jer, i lived in tempe for about a year and a half and there's not much out there inside the city. Now if you wanna road trip I suggest researching about the titan 2 missile bases in and around tuscon. Most have been blown up but I do know that at least 2 are still inact and have been excavated.

| | | Thanks! But, through like, seven degrees of separation, I heard about some buildings out by a park. Me and an un-named buddy checked it out, and poked around a bit. Only really had to hop two fences to get to one of the buildings, however, the other two buildings were sealed up so tightly it wasn't even funny. Untouched by vandals, even. Really curious to as of what they were, and I found some stormdrain, I might look into that. But, I'll check out the Titan II sites once I can get some more free times on my hands, and can bum a ride, haha. Thanks a bunch.

| | | Actually there are a couple places in the valley. I recently did a infiltration in Mesa of an old Flour Mill. I took around 150 pics and will post some up here later. There is also the Mill in Tempe, but it is heavily guarded now with motion detectors and rent-a-cops. There also was a HUGE facility (apx 15 acers) in Mesa ... it was an old Motorola building on Broadway and Dobson. I took a trip in there but did not have a camera at the time. pm me if you would like to talk more...

| | | Don't bother going to Broadway & Dobson - that Motorola plant is long gone. There's an industrial park there now, but all of the original Motorola buildings were razed by the end of 2005. The first photo shows the east end of the plant in December 2004. The next two show the west end in May 2005. The last shows the property as it appeared in November of 2005.
I used to work there.

| | | There used to be an old retirement home that was abandoned, but it was recently demolished. There's a hospital that is closing down in the new future. That could be fun. Also, if you are into active sites, there is a monkey farm with very low security, or so I'm told. I don't really do active sites that aren't open to the public, so I've never been, but I've been told it's very cool. [last edit 6/27/2006 6:36 AM by Chronos - edited 1 times]
