|  | | | A good run, guaranteed to get get the adrenaline pumping. The area is under federal jurisdiction and patrolled, so this means police and subsequently questions. Doing a day run is not suggested as you will be on display for the whole city of New West, some of Surrey, the water traffic on the fraser river, and the control tower on top of the train bridge that is parallel to the catwalk. It is possible to go up durring the day just ensure you don't go to far out. Also occasionally there is a troll that should be avoided. He is surly.
Getting up to the Catwalk is fairly simple (assuming you can lift you own body weight) surprisingly there are virtually no defences. The Catwalk itself goes about 200m out towards the center of the river. At its highest point it is...well damm high and windy to. Strange duck like creatures inhabit the upper girders, not quite ducks, not quite segals. It's a pretty view in an odd place and packing a few bevies is suggested. Once up and far enough down the catwalk its a fine place to chill for a bit. Upon reaching the middle it is possible to cross all the way over to Surrey, However; EXTREME DANGER POSSIBLE LOSS OF LIFE. I made the cross over once walking on rotted 6/8 ply wood, being sure to stay on the metal spines, but at one point having my foot go through, and watching a 2/4 fall for a solid 20 seconds and explode on impact. Needless to say my ass was puckered shut for a good two days afterward. When you reach the center there are two ways to leave, you can go back the way you came or go up some ladders and pop the hatch and walk down from the bridge. This can be particularly handy if your escape route is blocked by the Federales. unfortunately there is no way of telling what or who is on the other side of the hatch. So if you pop the hatch good luck, all I got was some old sushi go figure. Bon Chance! P.S I have more pics and I'll post them when I resize them.
