| | haunted house in new west. < on 9/29/2005 6:31 AM >
| | | I have a friend that's a real estate agent in town. Apparently, theres a house in queens park that has been on the market for a while because its haunted.5 different deals have fallen through because of unexplained happenings, and the listing agent refuses to even step foot in the house now because of the strange happenings. The house is 113 or so years old,and is vacant. If the opportunity arises, anyone wanna go for a visit?

| | | What types of unexplained happenings have happened? in an earlier life i used to operate an excavator and demolish old houses. I've demolished several houses with suicides in them. If your friend is the agent we could arrange a visit as potential buyers. I'm up for that as I'm always looking for good investments. Especially if the house is well priced.

| | | Sounds like it'd be an interesting UE, can you try and find out more about the 'unexplained happenings'? If so can you post anything you find out? Thanks, -i2yan

| | | That pic helps me understand why its not selling, from a demolition perspective no one wants to take those houses on. its on a 33 foot lot and thats hard for an excavator to knock it down without taking the neighbours house with it. and given the mysterious stuff happening sounds like it needs to be knocked down. I'm in fora tour if it happens. I would also be up for orchestrating a look at the property with 1 or 2 other people.. preferably one male and one femal.. mid 20's that makes fora a more buyable presentation that we are investors. I will check out the mls for it right now. I would want to meet first to coach anyone who hasnt bought realestate for an investment before so our gig isnt up.. I also need to preserve my reputation as a potential investor for my real life. as for the age of the house.. It would be such a small house though not much to explore... imagine going into a 2 bedroom apartment .lol three pics and we are done lol [last edit 9/30/2005 8:29 AM by followthewhiterabbit - edited 1 times]

| | | Hmm... I'd be into poking around there. I used to work at the Real Estate Board of Grater Vancouver. I could probably snag a bit of extra info on the house... I'll see if I can find anything.. Cheers! -PoT

| | | Sounds like it's really worth at least a tour, might be a noobish question, but are you allowed to take pictures on those at all? I'm gonna start doing more poking around in New west anyways, don't know why I haven't. I've just been doing most of it around coquitlam, but new west is older and I've actually heard of a few hauntings down that way (which intrigue me to say the least). Anyways, hope you can find something out about it.

| | | Well,my friend has shown the house a half dozen times, and no spooky situations to speak of.She figures its some silly ass rumour to try and build excitement for a small house and lot that wont sell.

there are a few odd places here. for example podova(sp?) apparently it has quite a history. Up in juniper, the older condos by the school that used to be brown apparently there was a fire there where a young child died and ive heard that there was some "hauntings" there. Also, one i just learned about today, out by the wildlife park there is an old barn, its a faded baby blue colour, it is pretty much inhabited by pigeons, and inside some disturbed people have nailed pigeons to the walls and stuff, it is one of the creepyest things. Theyre either nailed by their wings or their head all over the walls and there is one that is pretty much crucified and above it it says jesus. So yeah, kamloops isnt completely haunting free, i swear that im not alone in my house half the time.

| | | Ghost hunting is not part of UE. Nor is santa claus or jesus. This is not trolling, just an an attmept to get the forum back onto the tpoic of UE. Isn't there is a private forum for ghost hunters?
If you ever come to Calgary then email Satan@uea.ca and you'll be made welcome, taken to locations and given free accommodation. We'll help save you the $$$ you spend on the flight over here :) |
