|  | | | I will post more photos when I get a chance, this site is very extensive. After the fire that destroyed the north wing of the Banff Springs Hotel in 1926, I've been told that rather than try to salvage anything they just took it all to this location and dumped it. I've been told that there are items that are of extreme value that were dumped here. The extent of the disposal and the lack of willingness to salvage is evident as soon as you walk into this area, there are plates, cups, fully intact bottles that I can imagine were full of the most expensive liquors in addition to large structural elements.
 Unlucky horseshoe, ceramic bits and ink well.
 Same as above different angle.
 Debris shining in the sunlight.
 Something structural.
 Broken glass bottles, ceramic plates and cups.
 Melted glass.
Sorry, I realize these photos are hard to see, I am going to try to find a 3rd party host to post the large detailed photos on.

| | | | It is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel, the area is completely hidden and considering how long it took me to find out about this having grown up here I don't think that many people know about this.

|  | | | The property of the house I live in was a dump before the neighbor hood was developed. My dog kept digging holes in my back yard, and bring up old garbage, and that is how I found out it used to be a dump.
