|  | | | There is tons of posts involving Vancouver and other West Coast areas but, I have yet to see any real posts from anyone in Southern Alberta. Is there anyone who wants to do mines abandoned towns or have a couple guests on an exploration in your area? We kind of live in the middle of UE nowhere.

| | | | Calgary has one of the largest UE comminuties around, but we meet primarily in person. There is a meet every week at the Hop and Brew and we typically have a group explore once or twice a week and monthly road trips or large Expos.
There is a meet tonight and a public drain expo scheduled for Saturday.
We used to have a bigger website than UER but as we all got older we decided that meeting people and doing stuff was more important than being geeks on the Internet.

I have bneen UER for a long time. I have been posting on drainers where there have been no flamewars.
I posted on this forum only when I saw someone asking about Calgary. Being that I live here I thought I might know a bit about it. And I was trying to help others. If you can't deal with that, stay out of it.
I made no attack against any person or group here in my posts. If you can find where I said that go for it, quote away. Everything I have said is online.
You claim I spread lies, show them to me. Want full access to the my messageboard it is yours. There is nothing dishonest or slanderous. Disagree, prove me wrong, you can have access to all the evidence you want.
All I see is you with a chip on your sholder the size of McBarge.
If you want insults, I can invent them. I suppose I might be able to do that. IF someone really wanted me to I could ignore my conscience and attack them relentless with no justification.

Since I am in flamewar mode. The statement is compleetely true. Most = Majority. And yes a minority have made their home here but that does not invalidate Mike's statement.
Mike did the right thing, he said, most, not all.
And really I would prefer this shitshow to move elsewhere. There is no point in shitting all over this forum.
Obviously there are some issues to work out here and either I am going to work this out or start checking my incoming mail for mailbombs. Either I see that as progress.
Sometimes people just need to get it out of their system so I say bring it on.
Edit - And please, if you have issues with Matt, deal with that separately. We are not the same person and I am getting sick of being slagged for things he may have said.

After our last run in with him I really still question his mental
stability. This is a concern for his well being. He also has a past track
record for honesty issues.
I am all for mending fences but I just don't have a level of trust there.
The idea here is that we all need to be friends outside of this board first
and that is just not the case right now.
I have issues with his personality that I *might* be able to overlook but
until I can see some evidence that he is better now, I cannot trust anyone
with those sort of mental disorders.
I have had a few run ins in my career with people with those sorts of
problems and they deserve respect and support but we cannot forget what they
are faced with. It would be as crazy as trying to do the mine with a
quadrapalegic.

If I say Ninj might have cancer, is that an insult too? If I call someone depressed is that an insult? If someone comes up to me and says things I cannot immediately believe unless I get to hear it in person and see the body langugae, intonation and facial expressions assocaiated with those statements is that unreasonable?
As I said, I wanted to meet with you in person, build trust and make happy.
Saying I do not trust someone is not an insult. I do not trust my car, I still love it. But until my car can run for a long time in the city with no glitches, I have to build trust. Does not mean I intend to shred it.
And I was in fact saying I was being open minded. I just wanted a chance to see you in person. Face to face interaction is my preferred way to interact. It is more concise, accurate and avoids issues like these.
I do not think you are a bad person. I just wanted to see you after what was a very strange discussion. I do not even think there are any major philosphical issues there. I have no recollection of saying you are a crappy explorer (Matt may have but that is another issue) I have siad you do things in a way I would not. Siologen also does things I would not.
Ultimately I should have been quicker to fold to the majority but I really wanted to put all the other crap behind us in person first.
I am seeing now that you take offence very easily and are a very sensitive person. With a pretense that I am out to get you I could see how you would take things the way you did. I did not see it, as I was not out to get you.
I do not know of any lies I spread to visiting explorers. I told Silo and Fec to go to Vancouver. I dunno what else I can be accused of.
