Australian abandoned chicken farm

G'day,

Something by way of an introduction. I've made a sort of hobby of looking at sites like this one for several years and had never realised that there was such a web presence for this sort of thing. I'm also surprised that the ethical standards espoused here are effectively the same as my own in relation to abandoned sites.

An abandoned Chicken farm, east of Brisbane. It is due to be demolished and developed soon.

The place had only a very slight smell, it wasn't particularly unpleasant. Nothing like an active chicken farm. You can smell them from literally miles off. I think this one's been disused for some time.

I remember a looonnggg time ago, big storm knocked down a barn at a chicken farm. Few buddies of mine helped out to clean it all up. I just remember the smell... I borrowed a lighter from one of them and when I went to light my smoke, the smell from the lighter alone almost made me puke. And to think they were standing in the middle of it all...
