I was at the Keg in Coquitlam a few weeks ago and noticed an abandoned pub next door to it. Was just curious if anyone knew what the deal was with it? (I'm intrigued by these things...;) ) Looks likes its been empty for a while.

Yeah, I was by there a while ago. It was called The Brass Rail Pub. The place was closed down about 8 years ago and around the same time Roo's opened up a few doors down. Same owners and everything as far as I understand. I was surprised to still see it standing a while ago. I walked around the place and it seems like it's sealed up really good.

This is what the front awning looks like....

Cheers!

I walked around it the other day, looked nice and dirty. Couldn't see any openings big enough to squeeze through. Need a hamster mounted cam or something...

I looked at buying it 2 years ago,and it is completely gutted inside. No nothing, just four walls and some paper inside.

Does this mean that the taps are gone too? What a shame.

Sounds like a good place for a UE meeting...BYOB.

Used to go to the Brass Rail Pub a long while back with my softball team. They had a amazingly cheap weekend breakfast. That's about it.

Can still remember the ambience. Typical pub decor, dark wood, mood lighting, sad patrons ... but good burgers!

knotted unicorn: Awesome post, I've noticed it too from time to time. Are there squatters living there? Great pics.

when i went there was no one inside but it seems like people have obviously been drinking in there. it's a really large space but not much of it is lit up. i need to go back and explore some more when i have time.
