| | | Our company has been commissioned to cast a commemorative plaque to honour the Lord Connaught School. This school was built in 1912 with a sum of money provided by the Lord himself, as well as some stonework sent for the project from England. The school sat on the site that is now New Westminster City Hall and was torn down by an Unruly Engineer in the fifties without permission ( so the story goes ). Anyway we need a better picture than the one that we have, better showing the front entrance detail. The one that we have was provided by the Archivist at New Westminster and has a large tree in the way. If any one has perhaps a picture or a relative who may have attended this school has a picture it would be of real help. Other than that, any type of history that you know of ( personal stories etc ) would be nice. Thanks! By the way, the building looked just awesome.
