Word is that this week/next week the crews are going to start removing asbestos/pcb/etc parts of the old "barn".
Just so you know, unless you've already been.

I drove by there with Mewthree on Saturday and unless you are willing to do some fast work of windows you are not getting in. As well the security system is still on.

On another topic, how many known explorers are in Winnipeg?

Yeah, I was wondering that myself.

Depends on what your definition of explorer is. If you are a tourist explorer you more than likely won't get any action due to my utter laziness.

What do you mean by - tourist explorer? One who happens to be coming through Winnipeg? or one who just likes them purty pictures?

Go Winnipeg laziness! I might help people coming through town, but this summer I am spending most of my time out of town. I lack time for exploring when I am in town.

What I mean by a tourist U.E. is a local who generally only goes on a mission when he or she is invited. Case in point, I know people who have claimed to be explorers yet the only time they went exploring was when I took them. Quite frankly, if you don't have the means of transportation its understandable that you don't go scouting all over the city. (Exploring sucks using transit) But if you have the transportation I am not going to do all the dirty work while the other person only experiences the climax.

I have done some exploration using winnipeg transit... it is tougher.. but I have done it. I have walked to places also over here.....

Actually I was going to go in that building i saw with curious george on munroe and watt street..... but there was too many workers working to tear the place down. It takes a nice 45 minute ride on the 20 bus to get there.

I recently switched jobs so I have a bit more time available for my hobbies. I have been scouting a couple locations, hopefully I'll firm something up soon and Winnipeggers can organize a meeting.
