Check Out http://terraserver.microsoft.com too.

If its covered as an urban area, the photos have a much higher resolution.

For example, this is the same site Chainsaw posting at the top of this thread.

Enjoy!

Google's also released a downloadable 3D app. It's kind of like Worldwind, but in this you can even turn on 3D buildings in major cities. Plus it seems higher res overall...

I almost cried when I found that out, sweet, some of the images are old, I would think about one year old from what I've seen in my area. But there are nice to have.

I've been fiddling around with Google Earth for a few days. Highly impressive. It has overlays for all sorts of things; roads, restaurants, hotels, malls, churches, movie rentals, railways, stadiums, etcetera. Very handy.

Of course, it only lists active businesses as far as I'm aware(and not all of them, obviously), so. Still, good for getting your bearings. I managed to isolate a few spots I visited in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Which was a pleasant little find. There's a nice abandoned parking lot right in the middle of downtown Halifax, but that was much harder to pinpoint.

The only problems with google earth, are a good deal of the images are ultra-low res, and a lot of them are pretty old too. I can still see Vet Psych here in London, and that place was torn down 3 years ago.

So there I was, in this creepy old hallway...
