What resource do you use or can you use to get the exact address of an abandoned structure

| | | | If you go to either a town museum or town records hall they usualy have either zoning maps, property maps, or land plot maps, then you just compare where the structure is to what the map says.

| | | | Most county auditors have web sites which allow you look up properties based on parcel number, owners name and/or street address. Some of these also have GIS and aerial maps connected to the parcels page. What I usually do if I don't know an exact address or owner is to type in just the name of the street the place is on with no house number and begin there. Open up the first property you see and then open the GIS map that comes with it. Most systems will let you navigate around the map in any direction they have data available. You can usually zoom the map out just enough to still see the street names and if you are familiar at all with the area, you should be able to get to where you need to go from there. At that point it is more or less a seek and find game of clicking around on each property in the vicinity and seeing if the description and/or photo matches up with your particular place. Hope this helps.
