Steel Wool Long Exposure Shots

Hello all! Yesterday I ventured to the local storm drain system to try my hand at some long exposure shots. After two hours and few packets of steel wool I walked away with some pictures I was satisfied with. For my first attempt anyway. I would of liked to make it to some of the other junction rooms and try some different shots, but at that point I was cold and had a long walk to get back.
I hope you enjoy!

EDIT: Not sure why, but when I uploaded the pictures they came out very sharp. To the point where the sparks look broken (As Astro pointed out). Any thoughts on why this happened?

Congratulations! I always knew the portal to Hell was in a storm drain!

But great shots, my friend. All done with a nine volt?

Well done! I'm a huge fan of long exposures and light painting. Try Roman candles in the drain! Those are my favorites.

Also, I think you did a little too much post work, the first one is most indicative. Your sparks are...broken, or something.

Thank you, it was awfully cold to be the entrance to Hell! Then again I imagine its the opposite in summer!
No I actually used a lighter since it was what I had. But a 9 volt may have worked better.

Thank you! I will definitely have to try roman candles along with other light painting techniques. Actually the only post editing I did was blur out my face and body. (My face took away from the picture. I'm just that ugly) The rest was natural. I'm not sure why, but when I uploaded the pictures to UER they came out "choppy and broken". The ones I uploaded to my Flickr didn't look that way.
