Crabtree Jones House

I was driving by and saw this great house on a hill, so I stopped and shot these images.
Developers cleared the land of trees and what remains is this house.

I talked to one guy that was working on the house and he said they are going to move the house because it was historic (The Crabtree House) and then try and sell it to someone.

Needless to say, I had to shoot where it sat for hundreds of years: http://raleighpubl...btree-jones-house/

Hey that's awesome, this house is a perfect example of the evolution of the space usage and technological development. That front portion of the house was originally a standalone segment with the cook house out behind it (you can tell because of the one chimney and where it's located on the building). For some reason a lot of these houses were later connected to the cook houses (either because of oven developments or a lack of a segregated servant workforce) which you can see in the connecting segment between the two original buildings. I haven't seen one that's this obvious and clear in a long time. Too cool.

Just a quick tip- almost everyone on UER universally hates having the images popup, it's fucking annoying to have to hover over each one.

What an interesting set up of a house. The additions look a little weird. But it's a cool house.

kkor thanks for the lesson about the house, that is pretty cool. I had no idea.

With regards to the popup/rollover images, what is the best way to upload and show images?

Here ya go. This thread should tell you pretty much what you need to know. If you just want to have your images hosted here but not be pop-ups, read #5. If you want to host your images elsewhere, proceed to #6 and keep reading.
