Infiltration

	Hello everyone, I posted this in the rookie forum, but figured I should probably post this in my regional forum too. So, first, just a rusty CMP. This one was really short, but it was close by, and I thought it'd be perfect for my first experience solo. A view of the inlet box. This is an overflow area that we used to play in until the nearby high school fenced it up. Too bad they left a foot wide gap between the chain-link and wooden fences. xD Here you can see the light from the exit illuminating the manhole chamber, proving just how short this drain is. This branched off from the short main tunnel, but was filled with a couple inches of mud, and since I wasn't dressed for crawling, I resigned to explore it later. ---------- Overall, this drain was a good one to get me started, but kinda boring. So I walked a couple feet to the larger drain, a RCP with some black plastic on the inside. That pool of standing water is now about six inches lower, thanks to my awesome engineering skills a.k.a. moving rocks around until the pool starts draining. When I first got into the chamber, I sat down thinking it'd be a cool place to hangout in the future. Then I looked up and saw at least 20 ghostly-white spiders, and scurried back to the tunnel. This picture was taken by sticking my phone out of the tunnel and into the chamber. xD A nice view. All said and done, I had a blast, and the spider room of the second tunnel was only about 100 feet in, so I plan to finish exploring the rest with a friend soon.

	Thank you. I started to explore past the spiders, but they just became more prevalent the more I went, so I resigned to wait for a friend to come with me. xD I think I may try to get to the top of the football commentators' box at the high school nearby.
