| | | Several friends and have been checking out some abandoned and partially abandoned towns out on the Eastern Plains. For those of you that haven't already, the plains are a goldmine for exploration! This particular town has an abandoned motel, an abandoned house, and several abandoned businesses. The motel was in surprisingly good condition. One of the rooms had children's scribbles all over the walls. The rooms were mostly scrapped, but some still had bathroom fixtures. The motel is easy to access, but getting into the abandoned store required scaling the roof, and entering through a trash ridden-yard. This obviously made a ton of noise, but somehow didn't attract any attention. Finally, the house contained many artifacts as it was abandoned in the late 1970's. We counted about 7 or so old-school tv's, a bunch of old clothing, even spices left over in the pantry. Overall it was a sweet place, but we're eager to hit up some more towns out east! Haha!
Also, I'm not quite sure how to resize the photos so here is a link to the album on Flickr: http://www.flickr....72157636607958513/

| | | I spend a lot of time reading and looking at pictures of Eastern Plains explorations, but never actually do it. I need to get a couple friends and just go.

| | | Wow. That is pretty cool how it looks like time just stopped, window coverings even! The tally marks remind me of the Silence from Doctor Who. Haha. Hopefully you didn't leave with more on your arms or anything. 0_o Thanks for showing us.

There's a ridiculous amount of stuff to explore out there! I'm surprised more isn't posted on UER, but I'll get on that

| | | The whole eastern plains topic reminds me of the semi trailer that is about 58 miles east of Denver on I76. I've always wondered what is inside of it, why is it there, and what put it on its side.
And i only explore with the strobe setting. The standard setting is for squares. People tend to get a little upset with me, but it's the only way to truly live. -Relik |

| | | Theres a pretty sweet exhibit about Keota at the History Colorado Museum right now. Definitely worth checking out if youve been to the town, I did not have any idea how much there actually was there back in the day.
