You want me to sleep there again!? ...and here I thought you were only nuts because you climbed the cooling tower. Hahaha. No, no...clearly you're nuts if you think I'm sleeping there again! HAHAHA!

| | | Posted by Hotwired Heart Also, although climbing it was definitely a rush, I don't think of it as particularly gutsy since a) I know lots of other people on here have climbed it without a harness and b) yeah, the stakes are higher, but it's still just a ladder!

Clearly you're not a clumsy old fuck who fell down the stairs in his own home (I am). ;) Great photo set, btw.

| | | Absolutely beautiful set. I do enjoy Cold War-era relics like this and the one east of it. Ahh, the old TVA... "We bought a washing machine and a Chevrolet..." Amazing to see hundreds of millions of dollars spent on a power plant that never produced a kilowatt.

Wonderful shots, absolutely stunning HW. I'm still trying to get to the top of that damn tower so kudos to you, #1 wins. I'm glad you got a chance to see this place with people who could give you the right proper tour. How did you like the underground maze levels? I spent an entire night exploring. Underground is one of my most favorite parts of the place as well as the roof swamp. The echo effect at the base of the tower is something very few people get to experience. Funny thing about Spiders is that as soon as you leave you start thinking how soon to plan that next return trip. As many times as I've visited there are still so many new things to see. Cheers!

| | | Once-ler, thank you! It was really amazing. The underground levels we went to were cool - we didn't spend quite an entire night exploring them, so I'm sure there's more yet to see. I could see everything ten times too, before I got my fill. Actually, I don't think I saw the roof swamp, but DJCraig was telling me about the nature influx on the other, less complete reactors, so I want to see those someday. And yeah, that echo! It's actually kinda crazy though that if you stand in just the right spot at Govt Tractors there's a resounding echo there too.

I know I didn't see the whole place for sure but it is so awesome!!!
