|  | | | Not quite urban exploration, but quite exciting. I have found several caves in the Kamloops area. I will try to explore all of them over the next few weeks.

| | | | got into a second cave in the save area, this one was much longer although not quite as deep as the first one. Again, we found lots of ice... even some snow!!!
1. decently large chamber... couldnt get much of it into the picture tho. I really need to invest into a ultra wide angle lens.
2. couple inches of water covering the icy floor, my favorite part of this cave

| | | | Work shut down for a day... We took advantage of our free day to return to the caves we've been in, and check out a few others in the area.
Want to go explore the caves ?
The caves are called: the Bearcat caves. They are located a short drive east of kamloops near the town of Monte Lake. Once there you will turn on Mill Road. Follow this road for a while, this will become Monte Creek FSR. you will come to two forks along the way. keep left at both fork. soon after the second fork there's a little logging road going down hill on the left side. follow it until you get to the clearing. Again, go left. a ways up you'll come up to wood 200 road. fellow it till you see the log on the right side that reads Bearcat / clowns. this is where you park your vehicle. (gps; N50 23.387 - W119 51.22) if you miss it, the road end soon after so you wont drive way past it.
I didn't need a high clearance 4x4 to get there, but if trees have fallen or its been raining... i could see some deep, muddy holes... requiring a truck.
Now, Walk across the clearing on the left side of the road. There is no real trail, just bushwhack your way thru it. the first 2-3 caves are not so hard to find, for the others tho. For sure you will need a GPS.

we needed 100' of rope to rappel down one of the caves, and to help going up and down a steep icy hole / slope in an other cave.
