| | | Things seem to be a little dead as of late down here in the SE Forum. Lets see what SP.E.C.T.R.E. can do to liven this up a bit.
1 Have a seat, take a rest
2 My Invitation
3 Its a Slow Ride From Here
4 Feeling Tired
5 And a Little Bit Broken
6 Air Flow
7 The Silent
8 Symphonies
9 Celebration of the Life
10 For Special Cases of Difficult Types
11 A Potent Germicide
12 Cavity Compound
13 Arterial Conditioner
14 Drying Powder
15 Chemicals of Merit
16 A Resting Place in the Shade
17 And Two More For the Little Ones
18 His and Hers
19 Comfortable Place of Eternal Rest
20 True Craftsmanship is in the Details
Enjoy All, it was a good trip and I may work on crapping out some more sets later but for now I've run out beer.

The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark. |

| | | Thanks for the comments everyone. I cant take any credit for finding this location however, it was passed on to me by a good friend. And yes, it is absolutely full of trinkets. I would have poked around much longer in the embalming room but I hate to think about what spilled chemicals and crud I was breathing and kneeling in while setting up those shots. I may have to go back though, lots of stuff in drawers and laying about room I never got to see.

Thanks Andy, that one came out better than I expected. Lots of good details about this place left there.

That's funny you say that, and so true. I have friends whose families are in the business and the amount of dedication to it and the pride they show for it is amazing. For black communities here in the south both urban and rural the job of funeral director was a very honorable and well respected one with good deal of social status attached to it. They tended to be businesses passed down and kept in the family.

I wish that were true where I lived. Here when I tell people that they get shocked, ask why or call me morbid. That whole being passed down to family members thing makes it REALLY hard to become an apprentice.

It's the tools of the trade that are most interesting to me. Hope to see more from this place!

I suppose that makes for some very stiff competition for apprenticeships.

| | | This set is so amazing. I too am an aspiring funeral director. Although I have yet to start school. I'm surprised that so much was left behind. You would think that the owners would've wanted to sell the bigger things like the hearse and caskets. Any idea when this place was abandoned?

What pickles the dead also pickles the living... :/ Great set; love #2 & "Details"... Wonder if "Cavity Compound" preceded sewing the anus (to prevent leakage and resultant odor during viewing)?
