There are lots of drains in Fort Collins. I pointed someone on CPF towards a few recently. Locust st drain is pretty well known. I saw half a dozen other drains near it with a few minute's mapping. I do not know how they are underground, but they look promising.

I'm thinking of hitting up the Locust St. drain and seeing how far it can go, I know it goes under CSU, but I wanna see just how far it can take me. Does anyone think there's any chance of it hooking up with the CSU steam tunnels somewhere? My first thought would be that they would try to keep them fairly far apart, so as to not risk water getting in to those tunnels and messing stuff up... But I know next to nothing about this stuff, so I could be wrong.

Usually, nothing connects to storm drains that shouldn't get flooded periodically. That said, I've seen drains come up in restaurants and stores. I've heard of some that connect to very old buildings, including bank vaults. So I wouldn't expect it, but I wouldn't rule it out, either. Underground systems don't connect as much as the movies like to pretend

I've been in the CSU steam tunnels many times and have never seen a connection to the drain system.
