I recall hearing about an abandoned windmill somewhere down the South Shore between Bridgewater and Italy Cross, does anybody know where it is? Or even remember hearing about this place?

I've lived in the Bridgewater region off and on over the years and made too many trips through Italy Cross to count. I haven't heard of this place and I'd be skeptical that it still exists. I can't confirm its non-existence, mind you. There just aren't that many windmills in the region as a whole so seeing one would really stand out.

Well that sucks. Last year it was apparently still standing.

I think it's been gone longer than that.

And I can't think of any others in the area.

After talking about it, we think the the windmill on the Italy Crossing Road came down in '06 or '07. It was still there in '05. I might be able to find a picture.
