Does anyone else ever use redfin or zillow to look for history?

There are a lot of older homes in my city. Some date back to 1900-1930. I like to look them up on zillow to see when they were made. Sometimes there are abandoned ones on there. I like to look them up when I get bored and play "guess when it was built". I have found redfin to be a bit preferable for history, zillow has a better map.

Do you know if these sites are county specific or if they are national? It sounds like good tools but the use might be limited if they dont cover much

I think they are national. You put your city and state in them and go from there.
