Or, how I found the house down the street.

The following is just a story, the pictures are just art.
A lady and her son lived here, the son had suicidal inklings.

1.

About 5 years ago, they just got up and left. The house is in fairly good condition. Though the peeling paint and green pool tells another story of sadness.

2.

3.

4.

5.
^^I may or may not have a thing for lonely chairs^^ I'll also point out now, I touched nothing here to set up a shot. Everything is exactly as found.

6.

7.

8.
^^Like I said, chairs. They just put themselves in the perfect photographic spots^^

9.
^^This pool was green, furry, and had fish and frogs living in it. Lovely place to go swimming in.^^

10.
^^Yum, a hot tub.^^

11.

12.
^^There was a barn too, but it looked nicer on the outside and was quite boring inside^^

One thing that seemed to be a theme, was there were shoes everywhere, and a nice pair of vans I kinda wanted.

I would love feedback on my photography skills (or lack therof)

I see some mold there, so I'd check that out before actually being serious about it, but that does look like a place that's a month of work away from being a nice house.

Generally, fish and frogs are good in a pool, because they eat the mosquito larvae, keeping local populations down. As a matter of fact, the city or county might have put the fish in the pool for that reason.

As for the photography, I would say you need to work most on composition. If you're shooting in .jpg, think about trying to shoot in .raw, since you're playing with the pictures. If your camera isn't capable, there is a beta version of CHDK you can try. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/SX130IS

Thanks for the feedback. I do enjoy CHDK, but did not have the card with it loaded on with me at the time. If I were to go back (which I will) then I will be borrowing a full DSLR. I'll remember to put the .raw on.

Great house. The indoor pool/hot tub would be the best thing ever. Every girl would want to hang at your house all summer and winter.
