| | | Not too bad for the first one. Some tips: First off, I would have shot this vertical. Or crop it square. That huge black block on the left is just wasted pixels. The window ledge, the block wall on the right, and the details in the window could use some of the pixels from the underexposed shot dropped back on top. Just lighten it up a bit. Maybe try-out some dodging and burning. Sometimes it's more work, but I find the photo is easier to work with if you work with 3 or more shots instead of just 2. It takes a while to get the hang of it.

Thanks so much for the tips! I've been trying to remember to take multiple exposure shots when out exploring, next time i'll bring a better tripod and take several.

Check your camera menus, there should be an option called auto bracketing which will take the pictures at different exposures so you don't have to keep setting it up.
