| | | Today I was at the Target in Germantown, TN and I noticed across the road there was a house that's on a lot that's being sold for future business complexes. I didn't stop but the house didn't look occupied. There was a chain barrier over the driveway. Was wondering if anyone else had noticed it.

| | | I usually look for things like boarded doors/windows, broken glass, etc. That's always a sure sign. Also don't be surprised to find an open door or window.

| | | Just an FYI, putting location information on an open forum is generally considered bad form around here. Please follow the link for more info. http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=83700

Oh. Thanks. I wasn't clear on that, as I'm not sure how else I could describe the site. Is posting a picture of a location and asking about it considered bad too, because that's the only alternative I can think of.

| | | Thats fine, just try to avoid being overly specific. If ur shot includes a streetsign and address people will fuck with you. You just might have to go check it out on your own to find any hard info tho. Is it just a small house? Anything outwardly interesting about the place? Cant hurt to post shots at this point, people already know where its at.

Yeah I figured it'd be best not to take pictures that reveal the exact location... xD

| | | Also make sure you don't take a picture of anything that could be considered a "point of entry" such as a big hole in the fence or a broken exterior door. This isn't normally an issue with houses as they're normally not "secured" but it's a good practice anyways.

Figured as much. What should I do if the front door happens to be propped wide open? This wasn't the case with the house, but it was with this abandoned bowling alley. :p But anyways, thanks for the pointers.

| | | Take whatever pictures you want. Just don't post them. I have folders and folders full of great exterior shots of buildings that I would love to put on here but it's not going to happen. I'm not trying to get on anyone's case, just saying how I feel about the subject. So how about this bowling alley. Post some photos
