Step #1...Turn the HDR WAY..and I mean WAAAAAAY down. Also, all of these are rather boring composition-wise. Which leads us to step #2....Pick something to focus on, spend some time really looking at your environment. These are snapshots with HDR thrown in the mix.

thanks for the advice. yeah nothing really grabbed my attention on this explore it was kind of bland. Also, I had spent almost 2 hours trying to get onto the tower and when I gave up the light was almost gone so I quickly took these to at least have something to work on

1. Woah, that's a very cool tower - what is it exactly? I'm not sure what treatments you used on this, but I feel like its taking away from the photo - looks almost video game like. Also, maybe it's worth zooming out a bit / tilting the camera to capture more of the tower?

2. Nothing too interesting going on here. Another angle/perspective would be nicer.

3. The composition is a little odd here, I'm not sure what to concentrate on. In addition, the sun really kills it.

4. Cool

Overall, I think you have a lot of potential, just need to work on composition (much like me). Hope this helped!

Old microwave towers are the shit . My uncle used to service them when he first got into communications, after he got out of the Navy . Love the sunset.

Nice sunset, the landscape is cool. I love how you portrayed that every inch of the base was tagged. #1 Seemed a bit bright to me though, maybe use a faster shutter speed?

Entry to the rooftop playground is free, if you look up enough to know it's there.

I personally dislike sunset photos, simply because they lack a real subject. And the only subject is the silhouette of the land in front of the camera. So I would try to stay away from the stereotypical sunset photo.

The dynamic range of film would help with shadow detail in sunsets, which CAN be quite creative. ;)

PS: The subject in sunset photos is...uh...the sunset?

I know, it is just that people take a photo of a sunset (No offense to texplorer1194) but then they #sunset and instantly get likes. I don't dislike the sunsets, rather the massive stereotypical rep they receive.

PS: I love how I just talked about sunsets as if they are a person.
