Unfinished foam house [14pic]

Since my pics are about as good as the location, figured it is best to post in the rookie fourm to avoid.... things. And because I feel like it, the last picture will be an HDR processed to look as bad as I could.
Visited new symerna beach for a few weeks, last few days I noticed I hadn't touched my good camera and set out on a bike to find a building I saw driving by.

1. Obviously the POE was just walking in the front door. Sadly that's not my normal bike, this one just came in a tiny closet we found on the second week of livin in the condo.

2. The place was small, but felt big.

3. My fav from this set... perhaps I should have put it towards the bottom.

4. Picture of a rock on a plastic bag... cause hipsters like that stuff.

5. This wall had a massive hardon, didn't do anything when I touched it though.

6. More out of focus garbage on the floor. Bout this time I found a 15LED flashlight behind a wall.

7. another pipe stickin out of the floor this time.

8. Don't think anyone's been here for a while.

9. Writups about the picture... it's a bloody picture ok?

10. I'll do commentary when a good pic comes up.

11. Huza, artistic pic cause hipsters.... I've used this joke already.

12. I really don't know what they were tryin to build here. Hey, some pillars sound like a good idea.

13. The sun.

14. AAAAAAAA HDR SH** RUNNNNN!!!! *gives eye bleach to everyone

Was a quick explore, later that night I did some light painting but it was in a old squash court and wasn't that interesting.

I dig #9. Unfinished buildings are intriguing. Never seen one made of foam blocks. Guess they are some kind of insulation?

It looks more like the wall is made of poured concrete and they clued the blocks on it.

Are this concrete foam blocks or foam blocks?

In this type of construction, the foam is a drop in place (think like hollow legos) concrete form. There are plastic ties that hold the halves separate. You stack it up, adding rebar where needed as you go, then pour it full of concrete. The foam remains after construction for insulation value.

This was looking like an interesting structure. You should take a trip to the local building department and see if you can dig up the floor plans from public records.

this was from when I was on vacation so learning much anything else about the building is hard.

and why would you want the floor plans when you can see the entire structure in a few minutes?

as for the foam, it was sunbleached and kinda brushed off when I touched it. but it was still holding fine. I thought it was foam covered concrete blocks. being as it was on an island and right close to the water, you'd think it was to make your house float when the hurricanes come. lol.

Because it looks like some kind of a fire department or so with the three parking spots, so it would be interesting to see what it actually was planned for.

Yes, but the ones here had vertical lines running along it.
(see picture 1 and 3 for texture)

EDITED I looked at the wrong photo, I believe the above is that way as well.

I could be wrong.
