	Hmm, you must have been there on Wednesday. I like #1 because it sort of looks like a prison with the guard tower and all the cement. #7 is a great shot of the rail barge. That's part of the Alaska Railroad, they load the rail cars onto the barge and then ship it to Whittier, Alaska. Was #5 from one of the cabooses? Great photos and Welcome to the Board.

	Yah, that does look like a guard tower. That is the control room for the cement swing bridge. It is a crazy but cool design. Number 7 is the actual barge connected to the rail line. It only had that seaward side with stuff on it. I could not tell if it was partly loaded or unloaded. I love that you can always find a few cabooses at the end of the line. A lot of the photos like the grates were from them our just around them. Number 23 is actually an infrared photo. That is why some of the plants seem a tad more other worldly. 	Yes, #5 is from a caboose. With the belts in place, an alternator installed, and a battery connected, the caboose would then have power. As the train rolls down the tracks, the alternator would recharge the battery. Since nearly all cabooses are unmanned, the power and charging system is no longer needed but the remnants remain. If you bought a caboose, you are allowed to connect them to Amtrak trains for a connect/disconnect fee and $0.50 per mile. Then you might want to make sure the power system is up and running along with the heater. The seats recline for sleeping. Kind of cool. I like rust. http://www.facebook.com/bobphule
