Beneath a pre-Civil War Mill

Found this after investigating many trap doors and following the sounds of rushing water in an old textile mill. I have no idea if the water plant that operated this tank is still in operation (I would imagine not). But this thing was gushing like crazy. It was definitely an interesting find, and creek tunnels running underneath any kind of building is cool, the fact that it was a nearly 200 year old mill made it even cooler.

Neat There's a water tank doing that at a local mill, but no in a direction in which I can actually really get to the leak! Love how you can just walk right down there. Water ride, anyone??

That is pretty cool... is the water clean/deep? It might make for a nice swimming hole during the summer.

It appears to be fairly deep inside the tunnel. After exiting the building it flows in to a shallow creek and from what I could tell as we made our way rock-hopping up the creek, the water was fairly clean. It probably would be a great swimming area. Very cold I'm sure. But awesome idea! Might have to go back in the Summer.
