Pier one minus the imports

The other night after wrapping up an evening of exploring with RGB and Bezo, we decided to take a trip to a very long pier that is under construction. Complete with a crane rolled out along a temporary track at the end and only a thin chain security rope on one side we set out to see the view... Photos are kind of dark because I don't have a bad-ass long exposure time on my camera but hey, it does the job... enjoy the view. I know we did.
PS: it got a bit windy at the top

it would have attracted way too much attention... and with only 2 exits, 1 being all the way back down the pier towards the beach and the other in the water a couple 100 yards from the beach I wasn't willing to risk it.

I'm no photographer of any merit at all, but did you try using a tripod?

Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =)

I'm not much of a photographer either. more of an explorer who gets lucky with a couple of shots now and then. lol. no I didn't use a tripod, I was using a point and shoot while hanging off the top of a crane in gusty conditions. (my first crane so I was a bit shakey myself.) I thought about not posting it but it was my first and I was excited... Expect better next time around

^^^ Should have added that part to the original story perhaps. It's very understandable. Props =)

Yeah, I probably should have... Thanks. I was pretty steady till I stepped on one of the cranes cross beams about half way up that apparently works like a roller to extend the crane, spun it, and almost took a high dive into the Chesapeake bay. After that I was pretty shook up but still determined to reach the top... accomplished.

lesson: I prefer to go under the city rather than climb above it.
