Winter along the C&O

This last summer I hiked the full 185 miles of the C&O canal. But five months prior I did a little test run. I think I ended up getting to Poolsville, about 30 miles from Georgetown. It was a fun short trip. Well, I finally found some of the photos I took along the way.

Yep. It was in Georgetown. There was a deer too but scavengers had nearly picked it to bones.

Number 7 is Riley's Lock- it's right by my in-law's house and we go there all the time for picnics. There's some sweet brownstone mill ruins in the forest right near there.

In places forgotten, tread where you will. -=- http://www.flickr.com/photos/avius/
