Anyone in HR into old drain systems?
< on 2/4/2012 9:06 PM >
Posted on Forum: UER Forum

I've been studying GIS maps of the area and found some pretty longs tracks (a few miles worth) of 66-72 RCP (Storm Water). One section I can't find any info on any new database but i've passed a manhole in the woods many times and according to the GIS, that seems to be part of this (older?) system. Anyone ever tried exploring any parts of the infrastructure like this around here before? Maybe someone wants to come along? If so, PM me. The older section I'm looking at exploring is roughly 3\4 of a mile long.

There are some neat ones there. Maybe some weekend I can run a drain party there. Scuttle from drain to drain having cookouts and stuff. You know, good ol' times.

Hey. I used to do some ue when i was younger and lived in richmond. I wasn't aware that there were serious storm drains in vb. Anyway I'd be interested in exploring some of them. I'm in Portsmouth and I work during the week but i have weekends off.

I wouldn't necessarily call them serious drains however, there are a few here Ive found that are of unexpected age and size. (the largest being a long 120" drain) Nothing that really compares to a city like Richmond though. I make a lot of day trips up there with other explorers.

If anyone is interested, I can turn y'all on to some drains in Richmond that I'll never get around to exploring. PM me, or else I'll never remember posting this offer.
