|  | | | I haven't posted here recently because my laptop died. I have a new computer and I'm eager to start posting again. Since I'm still mourning the loss of my laptop I thought sharing this location would be appropriate.
I decided to stop by and check this place out after driving past it many times. It was locked up tight and well maintained on the outside so I wasn't expecting anything exciting inside. I was wrong! I took a peek through a keyhole and saw the wonderful decay inside. After finding a way in I made a return trip and spent an afternoon inside. The mausoleum was built approximately 100 years ago by a wealthy business owner. The single room contains life-size stone statues in each corner. The remains of a drop ceiling hang from above. There's a narrow staircase which leads to the crypt underneath where the businessman and his family are entombed.

Yeah, I live about five minutes from this, I tried it in October and it was sealed. I saw the pics and said "oh sweet, it's open!" and went to check it out today. I left the cemetary a very frustrated man.

| | | | Thanks for all of the comments. I spent hours inside and shot the hell out of it so I would get all of the pictures I would ever want, however, I did think of one shot that I didn't get.

I spoke to that mean lady while looking just like my profile picture and she became very cooperative! You should try it!

Not sure how i feel about this. pictures are pretty. but youre also trespassing on someones resting place. not very respectful to the family or the dead. not to be all moralistic about it. but i dunno if i would feel ok doing this myself.

If someone with the key unlocks the front door and invites you in then it's not trespassing. Everyone is invited to take pictures of my final resting place but I don't think it will be as nice as this one.
