A couple of years ago it used to be around $3.50 a pound, which depending on what your turning in can add up fast! If the feeders (wires going from the high voltage pole into the house/building) are copper and depending on how long the wires are from the pole to the house/building it can add up real fast. I have been on jobs that we replaced the feeder cables and the scrap that we pulled out brought in $10,000!!!! Usually on the higher side though. Lately it's been sitting at around $2.90 /lbs.
