|  | | | Anyone else in Cincinnati notice that a certain pink hotel on Central Parkway has been closed as of last week or so? There are barricades up across the driveway. Anyone know more about it?

Dirty, Unprofessional, Poor Condition This has to be the worst experience I have had with a hotel. They promote a 7 day week special, but after the first week you are charged the weekly rate on a 6 day cycle. Wow! The staff are not at all helpful and the housekeeping is less than desirable. A few of my things were stolen out of my room and nothing was done to investigate such actions. DO NOT stay here. Beds are dirty. The breakfast is only a loaf of bread and a store bought honey bun.

Apparently it was a comfort stay, then a Days Inn, and lastly the Parkway inn. That's all i know about it. May be interesting, maybe not. Given the fact that the google earth photo shows a green pool whilst the place was still open, it's probably not a building you really want to be in now that it's closed. Economy hotels like this tend to need condemnation by the time they're closed because of mold and whatnot, especially when the name brands leave, and it continues under some generic hotel name like Parkway inn, so if you do explore it, bring a mask. Also there's still electricity and lights on.

On a recent shoot to the Hopple Tunnel and other subway places, I parked in the driveway at the hotel. It was about 5:30AM, and I decided that since the hotel was shut down, maybe I'd do a little exploring. I walked up to the front and accidentally woke up the security guard on duty there  Whoops. He came out to talk with me and I asked if it was okay if I parked there to not make it seem weird I was creeping around at a hotel that early. Heh.
In short, he was a young guy and it's a big hotel. Looks like they're renovating the hotel.
I didn't really press on with the hotel because I was more interested in the rest of the itinerary for the day. Would love to see any shots you got of the inside.
