Burned Down Home: Cincinnati, OH

After exploring the Hopple Tunnel early one morning we stumbled upon a burned down house off of Central Parkway. Unfortunately I don't know much of the details or how long ago the house became vacant since I'm just visiting Cincinnati, but it was a fast explore and worth it. It's dark inside so flashlights are helpful, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone lived there so be careful as always.

The front and sides were all boarded up, and the house feels creepy for sure. The fire damage was pretty severe, so even though there was a second floor and basement, I opted to not try them out.

1. The outside of the house from the side.

2. Looking upstairs. I didn't even try to get on those stairs.

3. The door to the basement is on the left. Again, didn't try the stairs.

4. The old chair to the left is creepy.

That's sweet! Can't say I've ever explored a burnt down house, although I've seen a couple burn down :/

I've explored a few burned out places in the past and they're interesting and sad in a way. Good to explore and find them, but of course they're not very safe (especially if they have basements) so you have to be careful. Glad you enjoyed he shots.

#3 is fantastic.
And yeah they are very unsafe. I work in them very often photographing them as part of my job. Wonder what they'd think if I spent time in them with my SLR and out awesome photos like these into my reports? haha

I can't 100% remember but I don't remember it being too bad. I don't think you'd need a mask or anything, unless you tried to venture into the basement... and if you did... make sure you have some climbing gear just in case. Message me if you want the location.

I actually enjoy houses like this, it's always cool to see places that have burned but stayed somewhat intact!

Your pictures make it look very beautiful but sad. A good combination.
