Cause they are so desperate for money they don't give a hoot if they are killed in the process.

it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

When I worked on the railroad, copper thieves would steal the main leads going from the generator to the traction motors. They were thick and worth money, but even shut down there is residual energy. Considering they run 600 volts DIRECT CURRENT and could power a mid-sized town, I would not dare mess with that much juice!

It sounds like he was messing with feeder lines? Not something I'd want to do even with the proper precautions (in my job, anything over 24 volts is "high voltage" lol) And with it only taking 10 mA to kill a person... Just another exploring hazard I guess, avoid bare wires as if they were a plague.
