|  | | | So I went to this little town in the middle of nowhere Texas. I had been to the little town many many times, as my family actually settled there when we immigrated from Europe seven generations ago.
I had known about this little building that I had been wanting to explore for a while, but never had the chance. Finally after a few years I returned. Much to my surprise the building was still standing, but only just. From our house, I began walking with my little brother to the mystery building.
On the way we had a few stops though.
While walking I noticed this:
Then I noticed another well-like thing but as I looks further I noticed something in the woods.
Naturally we had to check it out.
It must have been here for years. It appears to be a single family dwelling. My father is almost 50 and he had never in all his years of living up here noticed anyone living on this property. This house was old.

We were running out of daylight and still wanted to hit the other place, so we kept going.
Finally we arrived.
Fist thing we see when we walked in was this beauty.
This was in the back of the truck. We went through a few of the books. They were all schedule books and appointments. The ones we opened were from 1952.
And there was SO much stuff inside
We were losing daylight at a quick rate now, so we had to leave. We will visit another time, I am sure.
I definitely want to return. This place is a gold mine for old stuff. We did conclude that if by some chance the doctor was still alive he would be well into his 90s if not 100s, due to the fact he was practicing in the early 50s. We intend to do more research to try and figure out what the history of this place is and who the Doc might have been.

I dont really know. It didn't have a lock on it.
I intend in finding the owner though. I would pay good money for that "safe" and the content in it.

Oh shit. Well done cdevon! I didn't see it. I guess I should have looked closer.
Also the truck is all there. No broken windows, all the tires are on it with wheels and the engine was still in it. The interior appeared to be in good condition, as I didn't look too closely at it. But with a bit of tlc and elbow grease I am sure that truck could be up and running within a few weeks.
I also found out who owns the place. He is an extremely wealthy bachelor who doesn't take care of anything he owns. The stuff in this place was inherited from his father who owned a drug store. The man refuses to allow anyone to buy anything from him, including the safe and the truck. But my family knows him. The building was also hit by a truck, which is why it leans.
