|  | | | Hey folks. First time posting some photographs of one of my explorations. My sisters, nephew, and I went out UEing for the first time, and got some neat pictures of the two houses we visited.
First, we stopped at an old house on the side of the road we (or rather, I) had wanted to check out for a long time. It was so covered in vines and kudzu, it's a miracle we found a way in.
We managed to open the door leading upstairs in the basement, though.
And a super creepy basement it was! The stairs leading up were spongy and just felt old to step on. One of my sisters was afraid to even step on them, but after the rest of us went upstairs, we assured her it was safe.
In the first room, we found a floor covered in both Reader's Digest condensed books, and religious texts, like Bibles, Lexicons, and Biblical commentaries. Odd, huh?
In the kitchen, there was a lot of broken furniture and an old yellow chair in the dining area. I could only imagine what the house looked like in good shape.
You can't see in in this photo, but there was a full-sized sofa in the middle of the kitchen, complete with pillows, a blanket, and a pair of boots. We could only assume some poor homeless person made this place their home from time to time.
Out back was a small shed.
Inside were odd newspaper clippings, dozens of bottles, and yet another makeshift bed.
Judging by an old Southern Bell bill we found in the house, we're thinking the last people to actually live in the house were there from around 1983, when Bellsouth was still billing people under the name 'Southern Bell.'
Without giving the exact location of this house, it was in Northern Georgia; where I'm from.
