Heading back to the city this weekend. I've been to all the popular places like Winona, Central State, Indy Coke, Bush, Pogues, etc. so I'm looking for something new. I think I heard about an abandoned TV studio. I'm interested in Eastgate, but I think i's impossible to access now.

Maybe some of the Infilnapolis crew can help me out.

I wouldn't recommend Eastgate. You are about guaranteed to get busted there. Plus, it's not really abandoned anymore, it's a "data center".

Me and my brother just explored the abandoned Levitz furniture on washington street. It was pretty cool, easy to get in thanks to vandals. Might be worth checking out if you haven't before.

Eastgate is right around the corner from me so I did some reconnaissance for you lol. Like everyone else has said, I wouldn't go there. While the building still looks like a big turd, they are working on some parts of it, and while I was taking some pictures one of the workers came speeding up like a bat out of hell and started bitching and trying to act like a hardass.

He asked me if I even knew what this building was or is gonna be, I told him the old Eastgate mall, and that I heard a data center. He said WRONG (like a dick too lol) and said it was gonna be a police station. They got a lot of work to do that's all I know.

The old movie theater in the same parking lot looks enticing though.

That's OK because a 'hardass' typically winds up being knocked onto his or her ass before long.

I was at Eastgate over the summer, walking around and taking pictures. Some young guy came out from one of the doors and didn't believe we were taking pictures, even though I was holding my Nikon. He threatened to call the police if we didn't get off the property. It's supposed to be an emergency communications center for use during the Superbowl.

The North side had a small spot I was able to get access, It was only when I saw a small floodlight on inside I realized it was not completely abandoned.

I am revamping my gallery, since it got erased accidently when upgrading the platform software. May upload to flickr or Youtube.
