and for the record, mine (^) was better.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Play nice, guys.

bump. This was a legitimate thread and site. It surprised me they do this, but I guess it's finite lifespan is not an issue.

Cap Slow, you are just that. At least SuchundFind had the balls to do this alone, and was able to secure permission so he could shoot to his heart's content with an invite back.

Your security measures were inadequate.
How unfortunate for you.

im not going to edit my earlier post. but i will add that containers that are buried are very common in texas. i know of 2 locations. one has 2 buried under a playground beside a long barn in forney. the other is under a mobile home in corrigan. texans are strange people.

First one I saw.
I am not sure if this is cheaper when one container cost $4000 per piece, and they have to reinforce them anyway.

i dont know why they need reinforced, unless the load above was too much, like a big truck? i have shipped out a few containers from my shop. they seem strong enough. and they tend to get alot cheaper closer to ports. i recall seeing them in tampa go gor a few hundred to "come get this out of my yard and its yours" on craigslist.

Suchundfind,

Allow me to carry this thread off topic for a moment.

I'm gonna take the suggestion of one of the members here and try to help you out. I don't want you to feel unwelcomed so I hope that you'll take what I have to say to heart and hopefully a few other members will chime in and expand on this.

UER has a fairly long standing history of being pretty rough on the new guy and there is always some difficulty in assimilating into a new group especially a group of urban explorers who's community is build on secrecy and one-upmanship.

With that being said YOU ultimately control how this group accepts you and treats you. It takes time to build a reputation and also for folks here to feel you out and understand the the way and manner in which your posts are meant. This takes time and comes with people reading a lot of your posts.

For the right or the wrong of it the new guy on the team always seems to get kicked around a bit but his place on the team is often decided on how he handles the abuse. Attitude is important and being condescending or insulting to long standing members is simply not going to go over well and will actually breed it own form resentment and make things that much harder for you.

Many years ago when I was in high school I had and auto shop teacher who I still to this day hold in high regard. One of the life lessons he imparted on us was to "be the master of the unspoken word"
Meaning, it's not always important to retort and sometimes saying nothing at all is far more effective that speaking.

I know you've had some people here (and not just in this thread) giving you a hard time. Spend some time reading the forums and figuring out how things works and who's who. It'll go a long way in helping you to fit in to the highly disfunctional family that is UER.

Ok here is the information you need.

There are a couple of places to get real bratwurst.

El Paso, ask in the German Bakery they can tell you who in town can make real German Bratwurst.

German Deli in DFW, I think they have someone also that knows how to make it.

I went to one place in DFW and it wasn't great.
It might be the Plano one.

Beer and coffee is always good.

Whole lot of talk about wieners in this thread...
