This company apparently made furniture, although for the longest time I thought it had been a slaughterhouse because of the rail system complete with hooks that ran throughout the facility. I would really like to explore this building, but I think some parts of it may still be active. However it is in one of the rougher parts of the city, and I would need more people besides me and my friend to come with to explore it. We got into part of it pretty easily, but it was another case where this building wasn't attached to the rest of the complex. It seemed like the shipping/receiving part of the factory and stood three stories tall with a loading dock in the back that was right next to some railroad tracks. The building had some random stuff in the first floor and on the second and third floors had some conveyors left over. There were also lots of metal boxes on the second and third floors that were either unshipped desk parts, or were used in the factory for some purpose.

This is the first floor, sorry the pic was a little shaky. As you can see it was quite dusty in here and filled with random stuff, our way up to the second and third floors is right behind us.

This is the inside of the loading dock and just past the wall is the outside of the loading docks with railroad tracks right behind it. There's the conveyor we used to get up on the right.

More of the same ground level.

Up on the second floor you can see the rail system I was talking about, this was a cool little turnstyle used to control the rail system.

Gotta love the industry, rail systems are so efficient in certain industrial applications.

A hole where we think another conveyor used to be.

By the time we got up to the third floor (which is where I took this shot), the wooden floors started getting sketchy and you had to watch your step for rotten floors. I took a shot of the skylight that was commonplace for factories built in the 1930's and 1940's. Today you dont see these anymore because lighting systems have advanced so well in manufacturing and although they are cool, they also are inefficient because lots of heat can be lost through the glass. That and they were prone to leaking and the glass could break, of course.

You can see the metal boxes I was talking about on this picture of the third floor.

Back down the conveyor we go!

My buddy was eying up the delicious can of cat food we think the hobos would eat?

Outside shots during the day. The building we explored was in the back (which you can kinda see it over the short one-story building in the front). This whole front part we didn't explore, but I would certainly like to!

I know exactly where this is, i've always wanted to find entry for the building to the west. there's graffiti up the inside of the fire escape, and you can see roof graffiti from the freeway. And the one to the east- the sandy-colored L-shaped one, i was chased out of last summer by hobos. Nice new location though! i've never known of anyone being in there.

We're all just trapped between the stippled earth and the stubbled sky.

Yep, I think we were in the part where you got chased out of. There were lots of signs of hobos being there but both times we checked it out we couldnt find anyone. Must have gotten lucky or something. But I would really like to get into the west part as well, I bet there's more factory stuff in there that would be even cooler than what we saw. I think there is a good way to get into that part too and it has to do with going up on top and then down into. We should get some people together to explore it. PM me if you're interested and we can set up a time to go and all that.
