| | | Found this lovely little Drive-in by accident taking a construction detour on our way to our originally planned site.

| | | Very nifty. Are those other shots inside the tall thin building (presumably the screen)?

| | | The shot of the projector, the movie reel slots, and the list of movies to be played there are all from a building out back, it had served as a concession stand. Not too many of the shots I took in there turned out too well. But the other interior shots are from the tall building that served as the screen. But yeah this place was pretty nifty. | | | Were you heading to JAAP by chance?
I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of stars makes me dream. |

| | | No. Unfortunately, we didn't learn of the ammunition plant until a week after we had went; it would have been a neat site to hit.

Well, I would recommend planning a trip back and making a full day of it.

As much as I would love to do that, I'm in Japan for the next year for school. Going to get my exploring on over here for awhile. But JAAP is definitely a site I'm going to check out once I'm back in the states.

| | | I pass by that place every day, on the way to work, and on the way home! Never stopped to check it out, as it's off of a fairly busy road, but you took some nice pics! I'm old enough to remember the era of the drive-in; makes me sad that I can't take my own kid to one.

I wouldn't worry about it being on a busy road. We walked right in with a police officer parked across the street and no less then three squads driving past, ranging from local to state level, while we stood out front of the building. I was armed with a DSLR on a tripod so they'll could not have not seen us. None even slowed down. There are still drive-in theaters around if you look. If you dont mind a drive there is one near the Indiana dunes. I was babysitting some kids and took them to see Shrek 4.
