The Fun Hospital - PANCH

This video doesn't show all the fun stuff like when Myth did his knee in there once so we wheeled him around in a wheel-chair for the rest of the expo, or when Beanz was on his mobile telling his mother he would be staying in the city when the alarms went off, or even the time when a heap of us found a stack of Can Can dresses that were used in a pantomime... that was one ugly expo! They put guard dogs on the property and we befriended them... they would howl for us to let them in the building and then sook when we didn't plus there are a couple of things that I can't really mention here (we had some fun with alarms and security guards). None of those things were caught on film, but here's some stuff on PANCH anyway

I saw the video on YouTube, a great production. Hope it doesn't get knocked down one day.

One part is now a Hotel and I think the nursing quarters are student accommodation.

Something like that anyway.

Just watched the video Doug. Bringing back great memories of that place.

Most of the place was emptied by the time i got to explore it. The giant heart was still a treasure to find hidden in the middle of the building. We also found an active surgery room while in there. It had power to the room. And lots of surgical instruments laying out on the tables. The room was clean too. No dust or anything lying around which would make you think that the hospital had been abandoned for years. There was also a locked room next to it which we didn't have access too but some cables coming out of it into the main room.

So we had a lot of fun that night speculating on what might have been going on in PANCH. If crooks or someone had taken over this place to be a makeshift ward for them. It wasn't until awhile later did we see on TV that it had been used in a Melbourne show they were filming which explained it all

Another night we were there Prowlers car got broken into and all they stole was the internal light globe. Lucky too seeing we had all our bags in his boot.

And later that night we were up top about to walk across to the other building and we saw a couple going at it in the student accommodation in the next building. All we could see was the silhouette moving from room to room. A great show put on and amazing view of the city for the 10 explorers drinking on the roof

Me too... Being a little apprehensive over said guard dogs, barbed wire and and security, I only went around the outside perimeter. At the time they were in the process of demolishing parts of the main building. These photos (albeit very boring ones)were taken in 2006.
