Getting some head at Fort Bliss (El Paso)

Hey Texans! I am just visiting family down here and not prolly gonna be able to do much pure urbexing. But I did get in a small bit of urbex trouble at Fort Bliss today.
This is not going to be the most exciting thread on earth, but the long short is: at the museum on Fort Bliss, I thought I glimpsed something interesting behind an employee only door, and when I saw my chance I barged in. I got this shot, and then promptly had a suddenly very helpful escort the rest of the time. No one said shit to me for an hour before this. The pic is from behind an area where they are going to build some displays about the current wars.
Here it is:

The also do have an abandoned commissary, but it would not be wise/ or worth it to try it:

Like I said,..it aint much...more like saying hello when in the region. I have no car here, and the family hates my sploring. My brother, the colonel was appalled at my activity in the museum. But severed heads, even if plastic, need to be fotoed. It's minimal, but in a wierd sense, it's exploring the FUTURE instead of the past.

LOL, the title caught my attention for sure. Best title I've seen in a while. Who in their right mind would turn down head shots like that?

Wow, great shot of the old commissary - that one takes me back... I have many fond memories of waiting in line there (ha!) and of course grocery shopping with my mom and brother in the late 80's when my dad was stationed there. Love to see more if you have them.

Is the PX still there next to it or has that closed/moved also?

I don't have any more pics, cuz I was just doing the museum as something to do, while visiting my brother back from Iraq. It only turned into Slight urbex, when I noticed those heads, and later barged in to shoot them. Cams are everywhere, and someone from the security panel of monitors at entrance obviously saw my transgression.

MIM, even though I was in the army in the 80's, I have never seen a base this large. So I don't know where the PX used to be, but yeah, it's across the street from the commissary, and it's just like a mall. If you were just blinked there, you would have no idea you were on a base, except all the people in uniform. There's a huge outdoor plaza with storefronts, and restaurants and pubs. There are fake palm tree 'misters" cooling the air. There is a HUGE movie theatre where apparently you can rent a room up high in the back and have your own party behind glass, and watch a movie as a group while drinking.
The area in front of the theatre is filled with movie quotes in the sidewalk,,,like this:

Oh, and as for the commissary, my non exploring brother and I cupped our eyes and stared thru the glass, and here is this Colonel fresh back from war, and he goes, "Eeeeeeew". They obviously tore out something ..like maybe a drinking fountain, and it's slowly leaking, and causing a nice line of mold. Imagine little dribbles of water trapped on a wall, boxed in a building in the desert heat.

As for El Paso exploring, which I am just not going to be able to do, damn it.
I think I see so very many possibilities. Some tantalizing looking stuff.
I desperately wish I could get off on my own and try it.
