Trainstation, Italy

Somehow I feel motivated to write about another location, so here it is.

Before my trip to the USA, I went to Italy, and sort of stumbled across the old train station in Tarvisio. I knew it was there, but didn't think about going there until I drove past it. I didn't had that much time back then, so it was just a quick trip across the train station, but I sure will go there again soon.

The train station is a bit outside of Tarvisio, hardly any cars on the road, but the nearby cycle path is always full of people. That day, that pretty much stopped me from doing much photos outside. I would have left soon, since I didn't want to run around the outside a lot, and the train station it self was fenced of. Then I discovered a nice hole in the fence, a way in. Now that I was save from people seeing me (easily), I was more relaxed taking photos.

The train station itself had some unfriendlier visitors before, almost all the glass was shattered. In the upper levels, there was less destruction, but still lot of wrecked furniture. Some people, I guess from Germany or Austria, sprayed German graffiti on the walls. And besides a lot of footsteps, there were no signs of people staying in the station.

Besides the main building I've been in, there seam to be at least 2 further buildings, one right next to the main one that looks to be easily accessible, the other one is a but further away, so no idea how hard it would be to get in. But I hope to find out soon.

Here are some photos from the first short trip: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjvZcYm2

Looks quite nice. I am going to Italy next week for some urbex. Perhaps I'll pay a short visit to the train station ;)
