When I was 4 years old I was an avid explorer, me and my older brother of 7 and his friends explored a house located in the images below, it was demolished some time between 94-2002, I was curious if any one had any pictures of this building, if I remember it was an amazing house to behold i gave some pictures on its general where abouts, if you put in 48.4336,-123.458616 into google it will show you th location, I'm going off memories of this place and was curios if anyone could help me, and if anyone could go to this location and snap some pictures for me I do wish to see it.

Thanks much Dim.

An interesting piece of history for sure. Unfortunately I learned about it post demo, a sad loss. Dolaura was a party house for some very high end skanks, (joke) Tallulah Bankhead was a famous actress, more famous for her drinking though.

There was an article in Monday Mag years ago, talking about the house after it was demolished. Maybe worth a search through M.M. I saved the clipping but finding it would be a needle in a haystack. Cool you have childhood memories of the place. A family friend knew T.B., photo below.

Oh my... Thank you for that very much, you know my memories of this place are still strong and this house looked a lot like it did in the photo on the article, except it was missing the wall on the left side of the picture, wow it was beautiful then.

I was last there when I was 4 years old back in 1994, I still remember it to this day, I was in the upstairs and down stairs didnt want to go into the right side room in the picture because it was very dark, I remember a grand fireplace in that dark room, the house was still walkable, the sun would shine through the upstairs windows and you had a clear view of the ocean, the floor was beautiful wood there was on the right side of the picture as you went in from were the fireplace was a set of stairs those stairs went to the the upper level hallway and as you walked accros it passing the rooms in upstairs it went to another set of stairs on the left side that went down to the left portion of the house were the grand fireplace was, and looking at the picture the woman was beside that very fireplace

It's amazing I still have memories of this place, i know my dad recorded it back in 94 on cassette maybe i can burn that to dvd? and share it possibly to show you what it had looked like in 94.

Glad to help, I meant to get back sooner on this thread. Sort of funny; last Sunday I wanted to do a quick explore, and was thinking where?. Your post gave me the place. I was there maybe 12 years ago. I believe it was torn down in '99.

Will upload some photos from last Sunday soon. The property is incredible. A few
faded No Trespassing signs, but not a lot of signs of people on the property. It's accessed from a DND housing area. Seems left alone, lots of trails around the site and area. IMO, DND signs should not be laughed at, there is potential for more serious scolding, but this felt fine.

Whatever kind of tape format your Dad used, you can get it transferred. It's probably 8mm, Hi 8, or VHS C or regular. This is great. You can make still frame photos from the video, or put up a video on YouTube or something. Would be fantastic. Make two copies soon for backup, that tape doesn't last forever. PM or let me know if you want more suggestions on the video transfer etc.

It was VHS format, as far as i can tell the VCR and tape both still function, I will deff format it, ill send you a PM, and HagensborgViking That house still looked like those pictures when i seen it in '94-'95 just a lot of wear and tear, and it was missing most of its windows, plus a portion of the house was destroyed, seemed like a halted demo?
