The first place was a groovy little house straight out of the seventies, I'd never seen a place built that way. Now every single surface is tagged...I mean REAL tagged, it must have taken days. Not only is there nothing but paint to shoot now, the taggers apparently called so much attention to their work that they installed motion detecting alarms! I got about six shots before it became audibly obvious it was time to GTFO. Last year 1. 2. 3. Now 4. 5. 6. 7. So I checked on another place where I had only planned to shoot exteriors...the insides are actually surprisingly boring. It's now pretty well impossible to access, but that's okay...the outside was really the only thing worth seeing. It's incredible! 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. I was kinda pissed at first. No man, it's important that urban explorers protect these locations from 14 year-old locals who steal paint form their Dad's shed to go write on stuff by shooting them. Aside form that, I'm pretty sure that taking photos of the inside of a building and then posting them on the internet draws attention to locations also. (But, who here is going to argue that we shouldn't be doing that?)
