|  | | | I am new here so thought I would post an old house I found a while ago (April or so.. 2010). Location is Gullivers Cove which is just a short ways outside Digby (appears to only be about a dozen people living down there?). I spent a weekend in a cottage there and we spent some time exploring the shoreline. In the distance in the woods I could see the roof of the house sticking out over the trees. I talked to the owners of the cottage I was staying in to get the story. They said it was originally owned by an American who used it as a Summer home and would come up on occasion. Looking at the house it is fairly old, so I would say originally built at least 50 years ago. It was closer to the cliff at the edge of the bay and years of erosion was eating away at the cliff so he had to actually move the house further inland so it did not fall into the Ocean. The thing is, they moved it and just sat it on the ground, no posts, footing, nothing. The sill was even sitting right on the mossy ground. So it did not take long for nature to run it's course and just start eating away at it.
The top floor was not strong enough for my liking and so only walked up the stairs to get the shot of the upstairs. I will also note, on this trip I wanted to try doing a few HDR photo's for my first time, so some may say it was over used, but that was the whole point of the pictures I was taking. I wanted to try different lighting, tones, etc, to see how the HDR would work. I have since printed a number of them off on canvas and I liked them even more.
